Survivors of Domestic Violence: Empowering for a New Beginning
Fall professional development conference offers CEU/CPDU credits
 Tuesday, October 27 & Wednesday, October 28
8:30am-4:00pm New Faith Baptist Church 25 Central Ave., Matteson, IL 60443 This two-day conference will provide training to seasoned and new professionals who are in contact with victims of domestic violence in order to assist them in developing appropriate and effective responses.

Engaging Those Who Engage the Community A conference for professionals working with people with limited resources
Extension provides programs that are aimed at making life better, healthier, safer and more profitable for individuals and their communities. This conference series of one-day  professional development seminars is designed for professionals that work with youth, adults, and families with limited resources. The workshops will provide participants with some of the latest research-based information and resources in the following program areas:
Community and Economic Development
Community Health
Consumer and Family Sciences
Family Life
Food Science
Immigration Programming
Nutrition and Wellness
Urban Horticulture and Natural Resources
The workshops in this series are suitable for program directors, administrators, social workers, staff, and volunteers of social service organizations, elementary and secondary schools, youth centers, shelters, faith based organizations, and other community based organizations that provide direct services to youth, adults and families.
