NCGA Rallies for Farm Bill
During a rally on Capitol Hill earlier this week, the National Corn Growers Association joined with 80 other agricultural organizations and associations to call on Congress to pass a new, five-year farm bill now. With the current farm bill set to expire on September 30, NCGA President Niemeyer led the crowd of more than 500 farmers in a rally cry of "Farm Bill Now!"

 Farm Bill Petition Needs Your Support One day after hundreds of America's farmers participated in the Farm Bill Now rally on Capitol Hill, Representative Bruce Braley filed a petition to require the House of Representatives to vote on the 2012 farm bill before the fall recess. EPA Extends RFS Waiver Comment Period
The National Corn Growers Association applauds the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's announcement that it will grant a 15-day extension of the comment period on the requests for a waiver of the Renewable Fuels Standard. The extension, which NCGA requested on August 30, will allow time for a fuller, more accurate picture of the 2012 corn crop to emerge.
