ARE BIRD DROPPINGS UNHEALTHY?

Florida is known for its beautiful birds and many migrate south for the winter. 
But how harmful is their droppings?
Fresh droppings are fine, but when you have many droppings and it sets for a long period, a fungus such as Histoplasmosis capsulatum forms.
Histoplasmosis is the most common disease. We inhale the fungal spores when the droppings are disturbed and it causes flu like symptoms.
