COMPLETING THE RECYCLING CIRCLE

Eco Show LogoCompleting the recycling circle

We started by selling our compost and mulch in bulk to local farmers, municipalities and businesses. Over the past few years our compost and mulch products have become more widely known to the public sector. Residents also wanting to boost their green credentials are buying back both the compost and mulch that has been created from the wood and yard waste collections within their districts, in effect completing the recycling circle.

IMPORTANT TIPS

Here are 2 important tips for your Lawn and Garden

1.    Mulch! Mulch! Mulch. July is Mulch month!

Landscape Woodchips (A-mulch) Now on sale: $18.00 per yard

Many people think that the primary role of mulches is to look good but, the first and foremost reason to use mulches is that they conserve moisture in the soil. By slowing down evaporation from the soil surface, mulches keep beds from drying out too fast.

This is especially important in hot, dry weather. Your plants receive a more even supply of moisture, and you save money on your water bill.

At a time when people are increasingly aware of their carbon footprint, using mulch produced as a result of recycling wood that could otherwise have taken up precious landfill space is a great solution - It's good for the environment and for the wallet.

2.    Compost! Compost! Compost. It's never too late!

Now on sale! - $15.00/yard

Made from 100% organic material - TRY Compost is Natures Best garden compost.  Why limit yourself to store bought fertilizers when you can do it the way Mother Nature intended!

Rich dense soil can hold a lot of water and requires less frequent watering.  Boost the soil quality of your lawn or garden by applying TRY Compost.

HST
Eco Show LogoOn July 1, 2010, the Harmonized Sales Tax (HST) came into effect across the province of Ontario.

The HST is an amalgamation of the Federal Goods and Services Tax (GST) and the Provincial Sales Tax (PST).  As a result, some goods that were previously only subject to the GST will have the PST equivalent added on.  As a result, tipping fees at TRY Recycling saw a small increase.

Thank you for your understanding with regard to this new legislation.
