Good Friday Idea
This year Bethel and Paz y Esperanza in Willmar partnered to create an experiential, intergenerational time of worship and reflection on Good Friday. They used the space at Bethel, where several rooms were turned into "theme rooms." Each of these rooms was assigned a verse from the Passion story and an activity for participants. The rooms could be visited in any order. For example, in the room focused on Peter's denial of Jesus, people were offered the opportunity to make their own crosses as they confessed the ways that they, too, have denied their Lord. One room was set aside for activities specially intended for preschool-aged children. Closing worship was held in the sanctuary during the final 30 minutes of this event. You might like to learn more about this Good Friday experience, and encourage a team to start thinking about how a similar experience could be shaped for your own worshipping community. Just contact the SW MN Synod Resource Service Center for a brief outline of how it was done for Bethel and Paz.

Greetings!
"The identity of the church is as much at risk as the identity of young people; without passion, neither can truly be who God intends them to be. At the same time, young people's openness to passion makes them important witnesses to the church in this regard, transforming youth into bearers of suffering love, passionate because Christ's self-giving overcomes them, undoes them, and remakes them - and us. This divine reconstruction changes the world."

Create an opportunity to talk about practical applications for our ministry. 4. Expose Network members to new and valuable resources. 5. Expose Network members to the work and the thoughts of those who are writing, researching and are moving the church along the cutting edge of these ministries. 6. Have some fun!
