We know youth and many adults use texting as a main source of communication. Would you like to be able to send texts via email instead of typing them (if you're like me, slowly) on your cell phone?
Pastor Matt Williamsfrom Calvary Lutheran in Willmar sent me these email addresses for texting via email. You'll have to find out which carrier each person uses, but if you're texting you'll want to get permission anyway and you can ask about the carrier then.
I think this could be a very helpful and time effective resource!
Verizon: 10digitphonenumber @vtext.com AT&T: 10digitphonenumber @txt.att.net Sprint: 10digitphonenumber @messaging.sprintpcs.com T-Mobile: 10digitphonenumber @tmomail.net Nextel: 10digitphonenumber @messaging.nextel.com Cingular: 10digitphonenumber @cingularme.com Virgin Mobile: 10digitphonenumber @vmobl.com Alltel: 10digitphonenumber @message.alltel.com CellularOne: 10digitphonenumber @mobile.celloneusa.com Omnipoint: 10digitphonenumber @omnipointpcs.com Qwest: 10digitphonenumber @qwestmp.com Unicel: 10digitphonenumber @utext.com

Greetings!
Ok, it's been nearly 2 months since I've sent out a newsletter, and for that I apologize! My attention was on other ministries, including the Sr. High Youth Gathering held in March. It was an excellent event that brought together over 250 youth and adults to experience Christ's love and serve others. The new 1-night format was well received and I look forward to possibly seeing you at next year's event.
There have been a lot of wonderful events for youth and youth leaders coming across my desk. I've compiled and posted them on the synod website under "Synod and Area Events." Please check them out.
I will leave you with a prayer I read on www.sacredspace.ie,my favorite place for prayer and scripture online.
"Lord, I envy the enthusiasm of the early disciples. They could not keep from speaking about what they had seen and heard. But I have not seen or heard it, and when I speak about your love, it sometimes sounds as though I have learned it out of a book. Yet I have felt you: sometimes in moments of anguish and incompleteness when I know that I am made for something beyond this; sometimes in moments of transcending joy, when I feel the glory of being loved. Give me words to do justice to my own experience."
