"The World's Oldest Art Medium"

lecture presented by Mike McAllister

Tuesday, August 23   7 PM

at the Anna Mary Williamson Library and Museum

    (Headquarters of Historic Langhorne Association)

160 W. Maple Avenue in Langhorne Borough

$5 per person, available at the door

One might think that early man first created art with burnt wood much like our modern charcoal, or used a primitive mixture of berries and a medium similar to our present day oils or even watercolors.

Not so!  Artist Mike McAllister will talk about and demonstrate the world's oldest and most permanent art material in a presentation he has shared across the US and Mexico.

This concludes the LCA Summer Speakers Series.

Stimulating presentations, lively conversations.......

Sponsored by Langhorne Council for the Arts.

Once again, Langhorne Council for the Arts is pleased to present maestro Mano Divina and the Divine Hand Ensemble in a concert you will have to see and hear to believe!  As featured in the new PBS documentary on "21st Century Music," the Divine Hand Ensemble (2 harps, violins, viola, cello, classical guitar, glockenspiel, and theremin), bring an exciting new approach to classical music and traditional arias.  Not familiar with a theremin?  Few are, but you will have the opportunity to see and hear it played by a virtuoso.  Preview the performance at www.divinehand.net, then bring your family and friends to this one-of-a-kind concert!

As if this wasn't exciting enough, you can extend your outing to include a lavish buffet dinner across the street at the elegant Bella Tori Restaurant at the conclusion of the concert.  This buffet, which includes salads, breads, pasta and chicken dishes, roasted potatoes and other vegetables, and an array of tempting desserts, is being offered to our  concert-goers for just $25 per person, and will include live jazz entertainment!  Imagine, a combination ticket of just $35 for an amazing concert and elegant dinner, right here in Langhorne!  Use the coupon below to reserve your concert and dinner combo tickets.  Treat yourself and consider giving this afternoon and evening of entertainment and fine dining as holiday gifts.
