2011 Arts Scholarships to be Awarded in May
Have you ever wondered how LCA uses the money collected through dues, donations, and ticketed events? Since 2008, LCA has awarded over $5000 to middle and high school students, grades 6 - 11, who have demonstrated talent in the arts, and who are deserving of support for enrichment experiences to further their passion. LCA Scholarship money has been used for vocal and instrumental camps, private lessons in art and music, and advanced classes in artistic media and techniques.
Parents and teachers of our previous award recipients have reported that students have not only benefited from the experiences our scholarships have provided, but they have also noticed in the students growth in confidence, leadership, and dedication to their chosen art. You can help our young students blossom in the arts by becoming a member of LCA.
The winners of the 4th Annual LCA Scholarships will be announced in our May newsletter.
