Welcome to the Grand Traverse Distillery's first ever newsletter. We are very pleased to report that effective July 1st, we were issued our small distiller license. This license legally allows us to offer tours & tastings at our distillery and we can also sell our products at the distillery. In other words we are now entering into the retail business. With that being said, our first objective was to establish actual working hours. For now, our hours of operation which we are open to the public are Thursday's and Friday's from 12 noon to 5 P.M. and Saturdays from 11 A.M. to 4 P.M. Stop by the distillery for a tour & tasting if you haven't done so already. We enjoy showing it to the public.

| Wheat Vodka is Now Available!
 GTD Wheat Vodka is NOW AVAILABLE and like all of our other spirits, it is distilled from Michigan grown grains. We distill our Wheat Vodka using the same techniques as our award winning True North Vodka. The main difference between these two products is the True North Vodka is distilled from Michigan grown Rye and our new Wheat Vodka is distilled from Michigan grown Wheat. By using wheat and rye for distillation, we can now offer vodka connoisseurs two exceptional vodkas with different characteristics. A vodka distilled from wheat is more neutral than one distilled from rye, but both share the same smooth finish we are known for. The comment we keep hearing is " Is it really 80 proof? It is too smooth..." We feel we have a real hit with this product. |

Early Americans did not ask for a shot of corn whiskey, they asked for a shot of rye. |
