For those who are traveling this month, go safely and savor the time away. Vacate your world here and come back refreshed and renewed.

Please don't forget our Inquiry Group meeting THIS Monday, August 3rd at 7:00pm, where all are welcome. In addition, I am delighted to welcome those families attending the tour of the Holocaust Museum and Education Center on the 9th!

The Interfaith Union...

is a resource center for people who are dating or intermarried of all religious traditions - Christian, Jewish, Muslim and others - which provides educational support, mentoring, community and the celebration of sacred rites.

Our mission is one of compassion, understanding, and acceptance of all, and recognition that each person's spiritual journey is unique and to be respected.

We are a 501(c) 3 not-for-profit organization.

Please support our mission!

SAVE THE DATE:
Please join us on Sunday, September 13 for our second annual Interfaith Union mass and picnic at Old St. Pat's.  Mass is at 5:oo pm, and we will follow this celebration with another in the park across the street. Last year over 70 people had a grand time celebrating --- even Robin Lustig of BBC World News joined in the fun!  More information will follow in next month's newsletter!

  THE UNION SCHOOLS
With the words of Alice Cooper fading in our ears ("...schools out for summer!  school's out for ever!") we know that is not true and we are getting ready to begin again. Our celebration of welcome will be held on Sunday, September 20th.

If you are interested in our Union School programs for children and families beginning in kindergarten - either at St. Raymond's in Mt. Prospect or St. Athanasius in Evanston - we would be honored to have you join us. The schedule for the year is posted on the website; for specific registration or information, please contact eileen@theinterfaithunion.org.

Our coordinating Under 5 program will begin again in October at each of three sites: Mt. Propsect, Evanston and Chicago.  We look forward to welcoming those that are new to the group, as well as seeing old friends.

CONGRATULATIONS are in order!

We wish another year of blessings and wonder to those celebrating a birthday this month (and for all those social scientists among us - these are all birthday boys!)
