The Interfaith Union
Financial  Partnership
Dear Friend of The Interfaith Union,

We need your help.

As Charles Dickens might say to his friends, "it was the worst of times; it was the best of times."  These are indeed interesting, exciting and challenging times in which we live.

In 2008, in spite of many things, the Interfaith Union achieved much and touched many lives in its outreach and programming.
  • We celebrated our Passover seder for 90 at At. A's in Evanston on April 30th;
  • We opened our fourth year of Adult Ed and Union School at St. Raymond's in Mt. Prospect, now hosting 23 fabulous families;
  • We began a new Kindergarten class, housed at St. A's Union School with 9 pioneering families;
  • We continued our "Under 5" programming at three sites ion the metro Chicago area, serving those families who are expecting a child or have children under the age of 5;
  • We built our first Sukkah - by hand - on the grounds of Old St. Pat's;
  • We celebrated a Hebrew Naming-Baptism ceremony for 64 families, with the expert and blessed help of six clergy at three sites;
  • We began a new series called "The Inquiry Group" to support those that are dating, engaged or newly married, led by our clergy at Old St. Pat's;
  • Countless hours of talking and working with couples and families......
All these activities and programs take time, commitment and money.  However, we have grown beyond what we can do as a volunteer organization.

We recognize how difficult these times are for all of us, as we try and balance our expenses against our income. Simply put, we need your financial support. Without it, we cannot continue to be a viable resource - be it in support of intermarriage, the celebration of Hebrew Naming and Baptism or the school programs.  Whether you come to a meeting once a month, or just believe in our vision and mission from a distance, we need you to make a donation to The Interfaith Union, partnership 2009.  We encourage you to download a registration form from the website (see 'Contact ') and send it along with your check. For those that have paid school or ceremony fees and dues, or made a contribution, please accept our sincere and humble gratitude.

We are honored to journey beside you and are grateful for your support and commitment.
