The Art of Walking
|
|
The Art Of Walking
6 week class begins Monday Sept 28th (drop ins welcome)
After
most of us accomplish the great feat of learning how to walk when we are
between one and two years old, our walking just becomes "how we walk"
and we rarely wonder into how well we walk, or the possibility of
improving our walking. Is your walking easy? As efficient as it could
be? Is it pleasurable? Graceful? Do nagging aches and pains tend to
arise? Here's an important question: Do they need to?
In
this workshop we will explore the rich terrain of human gait: We will
learn how we can improve our walking at any age or in any shape,
updating our old habits into new choices, and learning how with
awareness and curiosity, we can continue to refine the way we walk for
as long as we are alive.
Both Erin and Carl will be teaching.
Cost is $75 prepaid or $15
drop in. |

Couples Massage: One-Evening Workshop
Massage can be both pleasurable and relaxing; it can also deepen
intimacy and connection with a partner. In this class we will explore
the healing benefits of massage by learning some basic Swedish
techniques. We will also look at how to set up a space at home to
practice massage and how to use skillful body mechanics while giving
massage to another. Bring playfulness and curiosity as we delve into
the rich world of touch. We will be working on the floor, so please
bring three blankets and two towels per couple. Bring a water bottle,
and wear clothes that leave room for skin contact (e.g. shorts and a
sports bra or tank top.) You will receive a small bottle of oil to take
home. This class is limited to 8 couples.
Price: Tuition: $75.00 + Special Fee: $10.00 = $85.00
