DHS Class of 2011 will graduate Friday

Sam Vitanza Stadium will host the biggest graduation ceremony Dickinson High School has ever seen at 7:30 p.m. this Friday, June 3. Over 500 DHS students will walk across the stage and receive their diplomas, marking a major milestone in their lives. Those attending graduation are asked to keep in mind that due to road work, traffic on Caroline Street behind Dickinson High School, will only run northbound. There will be no southbound traffic. Please keep this in mind when planning your route to and from graduation.

Those unable to attend the graduation ceremony in person will have the opportunity to view it live through the school district website at www.dickinsonisd.org. A link will be available that evening on the homepage to view the ceremony.

Leading the class are 20 students who received the highest grade point average and had a long list of accomplishments, including Valedictorian Cynthia Ramirez and Salutatorian Stephen Phan.

The Dickinson ISD Education Foundation honored these 20 students by recognizing them at the foundation's annual gala. In turn, the students were allowed to bring along a teacher that has impacted their life during their schooling. The gala gave the students the opportunity to share their future plans and recognize their favorite teachers.
