Columbia Residential will soon begin a multi-family project in the Edgewood neighborhood located on Mayson, Chipley, Lowry and Hutchinson streets. The development is a townhome rental community that will be managed by Columbia Residential and is funded partially by a City of Atlanta NSP award. Pending permit issuance, Columbia anticipates construction to begin within 45 days.

 

This development will bring a much needed upgrade to the area of Edgewood that lies east of Whitefoord Ave. and will revitalize a currently abandoned section of the neighborhood where an apartment community was demolished several years ago.

These projects are anchor residential developments in the vibrant Edgewood Retail district located at Moreland Ave. and Caroline Streets. Retailers in this development include Lowe's, Target, Kroger, Best Buy and Barnes and Noble Booksellers as well as various restaurants and boutiques.
