NEWS FROM THE SEARCH COMMITTEE
We are especially blessed this Easter season at Trinity Episcopal. We have a new Bishop, the Right Reverend Gregory O. Brewer, who was consecrated last weekend, and we are well on the road to finding a new Rector for Trinity.
The required Office of Transitional Ministry documents have been submitted to the Diocese, as well as the completed Parish Profile. Earle Beasley, along with the entire Search Committee, has been working feverishly to complete these documents, as well as the printed brochure and the Search Committee section of the website. On Easter Sunday, committee members will be posted at the doors after the 10 a.m. service to hand out copies of the new print brochure to the congregation. We are proud of our achievements and thank Earle from the bottom of our hearts for the long hours he has put in to complete these necessary elements of the search process.
A heartfelt thanks also goes out to John Beukers, who has stepped down as chairman of the committee. I, Rick McDermott, have taken that spot so that John can focus his efforts on the music and worship programs at Trinity.
Our next goal is to get the Parish Profile up and running on the website and complete the list of interview questions we will ask of all the candidates via their applications or, if warranted, in follow-up personal interviews. We should have these in place by mid April and expect to get a strong response from potential candidates based on the high quality of our materials. More importantly, we all know that Trinity and Vero Beach have so much to offer, and we place our faith in God that our efforts to find the right person to lead us will soon be successful.
Happy Easter,
Rick McDermott, Chairman |
