FOOD SUNDAY REPORT

Here are the tallies for our food donations to The Salvation Army food pantry:
January       325 lbs   February    440 lbs
March         340 lbs
$280.00 was also given.

We are just ahead of our numbers for last year, yet our congregation has grown.
I would guess that the needs of The Salvation Army have grown, also. Can we do better? A large number of people look to YOU for a meal, so please be generous.
NOTE that our next in-gathering of food will be the Easter collection! You will certainly be hearing more about this any day now.

WE NEED SPONSORS FOR TRINITY EASTER BRASS

On Easter Sunday, the musical forces of Trinity Episcopal Church will be augmented with a five-piece brass ensemble (the Trinity Easter Brass) and timpani.  We are currently seeking sponsors for this quintet ensemble.  The cost of each instrument is $250.00.  If you are unable to entirely sponsor one instrument, joint sponsorships are welcome.Easter Brass  Sponsorships will be listed in the Easter Sunday bulletin, along with any thanksgiving or memorial dedication sponsors would like to include.  If you would like more information, please contact Dr. Jason Hobratschk, Organist and Choirmaster (jhobratschk@trinityvero.org).  Thank you for you enlivening our Easter worship and for supporting local musicians.

LENTEN SCHEDULE

The Chapel will continue to be open on Thursday mornings at 8:30 for prayer and meditation before the Healing Service.  You may want to come and take advantage of the quiet space to pray for guidance, success in our search for the new rector, or for reflection during lent.

CONFIRMATION CLASSES

On June 10, Bishop Brewer is scheduled to visit us.

At this visit, he will Confirm children and adults who wish to formally become members of The Episcopal Church, and he will officially "Receive"  members of the Roman Catholic Church who wish to join our Church. Confirmation

Deacon Lew will be holding classes to prepare those who wish to be Confirmed or Received, but we obviously need to know who those people are! We anticipate that the classes will be about one hour in length, and will be held during May, with a rehearsal on June 3rd. There will be NO TESTS, but you are expected to learn some things. Adults and children will be in separate classes, of course.

Please call the office to give us your name and contact information if this applies to you, so we can get in touch and begin planning details.

If any wish to be Baptized, we also need to get a move on that, too. Baptism is a requirement for Confirmation.

CONSECRATION INVITATION!
Bishop BrewerEveryone is invited to the Ordination / Consecration of Canon Gregory O. Brewer as Fourth Bishop of the Diocese of Central Florida on Saturday, March 24th!
The last time we had a service like this was in 1990, so this is anything but routine! This memorable and important service will take place at the First Baptist Church in Orlando at 1 pm. This location was chosen because the church can accommodate 5,000 people, and has excellent handicap access. The music will be fantastic, and the reception to follow promises to be terrific, too. Again, all are welcome!
Who will be there? As of March 5th, 24 Bishops from around the country were committed to be with us. Representatives carrying the banners of their respective parishes, and we are expecting people from other faith communities as well as legions of press.
In short, this is a BIG DEAL, and everyone is encouraged to attend it they can. You won't get another chance to participate in a service like this for a long, long time!
Yes, there will be plenty of parking available! For car pooling information, please call the Trinity office at (772) 567-1146, and we will see what we can put together!
