PARISH SECRETARY
We are pleased to announce that we have hired a new parish secretary. Her name is Cris Vaccaro and she started working here December 1st. She will be a great asset to Trinity.
TRINITY CHRISTMAS BRASS SPONSORS NEEDED
On Christmas Eve, the musical forces of Trinity Episcopal Church will be augmented with a five-piece brass ensemble, the Trinity Christmas Brass, and a timpanist. We are currently seeking sponsors for this ensemble, which consists of two trumpets, French horn, trombone, tuba, and timpani.
The cost of each instrument is $250.00. If you are interested in sponsoring an instrument, you may request which one you would like to support, or you may simply make a sponsorship to the Trinity Christmas Brass in general. In the happy event that there are multiple sponsors for a single instrument, the first sponsor will be given their choice. Other sponsors will be contacted and asked if they would like to sponsor another available instrument or another musical item, e.g. the choir anthem score or a hymn arrangement. If you are unable to entirely sponsor one instrument, joint sponsorships are welcome. Sponsors will be listed in the Christmas Eve bulletin.
Thank you for your considering sponsoring the Trinity Christmas Brass, enlivening our Christmas celebration, and supporting local musicians!
DAVID LORD CHAPEL ELECTRONIC ORGAN FINDS NEW HOME After the acquisition of the 1896 Morey and Barnes pipe organ for the David Lord chapel, Trinity had no place for the Allen electronic organ that formerly served chapel services. The electronic instrument has been donated to Friendship Primitive Baptist Church in Wabasso (Elder C. C. McMillon, pastor), where it will continue to lead people to sing God's praise. SUNDAY SCHOOL CHOIR SINGS THIS SUNDAY This Sunday, the Trinity Sunday School choir will sing "Let There Be Peace on Earth" as a Communion Anthem. The Sunday School Choir will be joined by the Trinity Choir. Our thanks go to these young singers for their contribution to the musical life of Trinity!
ANGEL TREE
The Salvation Army is heading up their annual Angel Tree drive. Pick your angel from our Christmas tree in the Narthex of the Church. Purchase a gift or gifts and please do not wrap. Label each item with the angel tree code (number & letter). Should you have any questions please contact Rosanne Moler at (rosannemoler@yahoo.com)
Deadline is Sunday, December 11th. Please return gifts to Trinity (not Salvation Army) by December 11th.
The Salvation Army reports that our Thanksgiving food donation rounded off to 1,000 pounds, and that the turkeys weighed in at an additional 962.5 pounds! This totals almost one ton of food! They went on to say, "what a blessing you all are! We don't know what we would have done without out your help, and we really mean that!" Heartfelt thanks go out to all who worked on this project, and to those who gave so generously to make Thanksgiving a holiday for so many to remember warmly.
