TRINITY'S LENTEN SERIES FEATURES "CONVERSATIONS" WITH LOCAL FIGURES
The year's Lenten series will take place on each of the five Sundays in Lent
- beginning at 5:30 pm in the Great Hall with a simple meal, followed by an
interview/dialogue conducted by Fr. Jacobs with several of our community's public figures. The topic of the discussion will be the challenges of professing one's faith in the public arena. There will be time for questions from the audience,
and the public is invited. The schedule is as follows:
March 20 - The Hon. Judge Joe Wild
March 27 - Miss. Alma Lee Loy
April 3 - Mr. Stan Boling
April 10 - Mr. Sean Sexton
Please come and bring a friend!
INSTRUCTIONAL EUCHARIST
Have you ever wondered about the purpose and meaning of what we do in our Episcopal worship? This Sunday - March 20th, the second Sunday in Lent - we will have an instructional Eucharist, which will be a departure from our usual worship. In our observance of the Holy Eucharist, we will examine the different parts of the liturgy, which will be explained as we proceed through the service. The goal is to help us better understand our liturgy and enable us to participate more fully in the Holy Eucharist.
As we proceed, we will pause for explanation of why we are doing what we're doing, with some historic and theological commentary. If you're wondering if this will lengthen the duration of the service, the instructional Eucharist will replace the sermon. My hope is that this occasional departure from our usual worship will help us better appreciate and understand the beauty and richness of our liturgy.

CHURCH PERIODICAL CLUB
The Church Periodical Club is an independent, affiliated organization of the Episcopal Church, and was founded in 1888 at the Church of the Holy Communion in New York City. It is dedicated to providing free literature, religious and secular, to people all over the world. It depends entirely on voluntary contributions to carry out its work. We can all be partners in the ministry of the Church by supporting CPC.
For many, many years, Trinity members have supported the work of this organization and we hope that you will continue the tradition! On Saturday, March 26th and Sunday, March 27th, envelopes will be available in the Narthex and the Chapel for you to pick up. The ingathering will then take place the following Saturday, April 2nd and Sunday, April 3rd. There will be baskets in the Narthex for your contributions, or you may put a check (with the notation CPC on the memo line) in the offering plate. If you will be away from Vero, you may mail your contribution to the church office. Thank you for your help!
