DR. TONY CAMPOLO TO SPEAK HERE
Dr. Tony Campolo - Philadelphia native, professor, preacher, humanitarian, and humorist - will offer his unique blend of theology and humor here at Trinity on Friday, February 25, at 7:00pm in the Great Hall.
Christianity Today named him among the most influential preachers in the last half century, and he has been considered by Time Magazine as one of America's best preachers.
I have heard him speak several times in central Florida over the past two decades, and it is rare to find a speaker with the exuberant combination of acerbic wit and Christian charity. Light refreshments will be offered, a $10.00 donation is suggested, and all are welcome!

TRINITY READING GROUP
The Trinity reading group will meet in the media room on Tuesday, Feb. 22, at 10 o'clock. The book for discussion is Half Broke Horses: A True Life Novel by Jeannette Walls. Barbara Jaap will review and lead the discussion. All are welcome.
NOTES ON THE NOTES
This Sunday, a women's trio will be providing our anthem, "Dawn" from Four Sacred Songs for the Night by Houston Bright (1916-1970). "Dawn" is the third of the set, meant to be sung for Matins, the most musically rich of the Daily Offices in the ancient monastic tradition. Though Bright has over 100 musical works to his credit, he remains a very little-known composer. "Dawn" is a beautiful work for three female voices. It starts softly and grows in intensity as the sun rises on a new day. After the sun has fully dawned, the music gradually diminishes to its soft close. Additionally, the trio (plus one) will be singing "Sweet Hour of Prayer" by William Bradbury (1816-1868). The text of this hymn was written by the blind English preacher W.W. Walford. The words were recorded by the American Rev. Thomas Salmon (1800-1854), a Congregational clergyman, who served as the pastor of the Congregational Church in Coleshill, Warwickshire, England from 1838 to 1842. When Salmon returned to New York from England, he submitted "Sweet Hour of Prayer" to The New York Observer. The poetry was published in its September 13, 1845 issue. About fifteen years later, as America was entering its Civil War, William Bradbury composed the tune, familiar to many today. This is not the only hymn for which Bradbury provided music. He also composed tunes for the well-loved hymns "Just as I Am," "He Leadeth Me," and "Jesus Loves Me."
INAUGURAL CHORAL EVENSONG
On Sunday, March 6, 2011 at 4:00 p.m., the Trinity Episcopal Choir will offer a Service of Choral Evensong. Organist & Choirmaster Jason Hobratschk will direct the Trinity Choir, and Organist & Choirmaster Emeritus Donald Ingram will serve as organist. Choral Evensong is one of the oldest and most exquisite services in the Anglican tradition, codified in the first Book of Common Prayer of 1549. In it, we, through the voice of the choir and through our own, sing praise to God.
Trinity's inaugural Choral Evensong will feature Psalm 150 chanted to the captivating Anglican chant by Sir Charles Villiers Stanford and T. Tertius Noble exciting Magnificat and Nunc dimittis in B minor. Additionally, the choir will sing anthems by Richard Shephard, Jason Hobratschk, David Mennicke, and Simon Lindley.
Evensong will be preceded by a half-hour organ recital-prelude commencing at 3:30 p.m. Jason Hobratschk will serve as organist for the recital.
A freewill offering will benefit the Trinity Episcopal Church Music Program, and a reception will follow in the Great Hall. You are most cordially invited to attend - and to bring a friend!

MEMORIAL FLOWERS
Flowers adorn the chapel and church altars by the generosity of our parishioners. Often we have dates which have not been reserved, though flowers are still provided, which depletes the altar guild budget. We have posted flower charts in the narthex of the church and chapel and we encourage you to fill any date that is blank with your name and phone number (you may choose more than one date). Our office finance secretary, Diane Steinke, will then contact you regarding payment and your wishes to honor or memorialize loved ones.
