Leadership Greater Manchester Class of 2013
Deadline May 23, 2012
Now, more than ever, it is time to make a difference in your community! Leadership Greater Manchester is designed to recognize and nurture existing leadership talents from diverse sectors of the local community. Through the exchange of viewpoints and experiences, participants are exposed to the challenges, opportunities and vital issues affecting the Greater Manchester community. Directed by a Steering Committee, LGM begins in September with a two day overnight retreat, followed by nine day-long sessions held monthly through June. Each session focuses on a new topic presented by local and state leaders, as well as experts who present issues through lectures, discussions, simulation exercises and on-site visits.
Who Should Apply Each year, approximately 35 professionals from business, government, education, not-for-profit, arts, religious and community groups are selected to participate in Leadership Greater Manchester. Those chosen have demonstrated a strong commitment to the Greater Manchester community, have achieved high levels of leadership in their respective spheres of influence and are capable of assuming greater responsibility in the future as well as making the necessary commitment to attend all the LGM classes.
