Kline PSR Releasing Slip
New slip reduces releasing force up to 75%.
Releasing SlipKline Tools is proud to announce a new releasing slip that's proven to perform better than existing releasing slips.  It eliminates the wickers that are commonly used, providing a flat surface against the casing wall (patent pending).  The standard upper or 'biting' slips remain unchanged.  Tests have shown there is no effect on the holding capacity of the packer or plug.  However we have seen a significant reduction in the force required to release the tool, initiated by unloading the releasing slip.

Kline Tools has improved this new releasing slip further by installing carbide inserts straight into the O.D. of the slips (patent pending).  They protrude slightly, so the carbide hits the casing wall first.  The reduced friction caused by having smooth hard carbide against the casing wall also acts to reduce the force required to release.  In the case of more severe jobs the force has shown to be greatly reduced, often by as much as 75%.

These new releasing slips are interchangeable with the existing releasing slips in our WLTC Bridge Plug and K-10 Packer product lines.  Therefore you can easily change out your existing releasing slips, or order new tools with the new slips installed.
