Sharing the Word
Driving down Del Prado Boulevard recently I felt as though I was driving through a phone book. There was so much signage that it all blurred together. No wonder we are on information overload. We are constantly bombarded by words, images and symbols. The question is, "How does a church communicate effectively?"Here is how we hope to keep the church-family "in the know":
(1) You will continue to receive Faith Focus every Monday morning.
(2) Beginning September 8, every Thursday you will receive an e-mail called Faith Weekend which will highlight what's happening at Faith that weekend.
(3) The last Sunday of each month there will be a calendar-insert listing all important dates for the coming month. You can take the calendar home with you and put it on your refrigerator.
(4) The web-site (www.faithcapecoral.org) is being completely reworked to be more "user friendly." It will be rolled out by Thanksgiving.
(5) We will begin using QR's (Quick Response) bar codes in bulletins and church publications. If you have a "smart phone" you can scan this QR and you will see that it takes you immediately to the church web site. These QR's will be very helpful in providing needed information on the many Faith activities.

We realize how critical it is to share information with our church family. If you have any other ideas for making us more effective, please share them with me.
In faith,

Pastor Tim
