Judaism is about following 'the way of the Torah;' being orthodox means practicing a unique life style.
Buddhists daily practice the '8-fold' path.
Moslems have '5 pillars,' four of which deal with the 'practice of Islam,' such as praying five times a day, a practice that takes about forty minutes daily.
At one time Christians practiced certain 'inward' and 'outward' disciplines of the faith. During the Reformation many felt that these were 'works;' and as a result, the 'practices of Christianity' were mostly abandoned among Protestants. Today there is a strong revival in these daily faith-disciplines.
Please join us tomorrow, Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. (or Wednesday at 10 a.m., or for those reading from a distance TT are available on-line at
www.faithcapecoral.org), for what may very well be the most important in this cycle of Tuesday presentations.
What are the
daily practices/customs/traditions of your Christian journey? As an athlete quickly looses their edge without 'practice,' so a Christian needs more than Sunday morning to keep their heart focused on God.
