So Far Away

These days it is not uncommon to be cast in the role of a caregiver for a friend or relative who lives many miles away. Caregiving itself is time consuming. Long-distance caregiving can add a commute on top of the time involved and suddenly there are not enough hours in the day. Even more challenging is providing-or overseeing-the care for another when he or she is in another state, circumstances that make frequent commuting impossible.

Sandra Wisnewski, attorney with the Mid-America Pension Rights project, created a LinkedIn group as a way for professionals to connect and find solutions to pension questions.

Elder Law of Michigan has been approved by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development as a Housing Counseling Agency.

MiCAFE Program Adds New Counties 

MiCAFE program

 

Michigan's Coordinated Access to  

Food for the Elderly (MiCAFE) is proud to announce that two new counties have been added to their service area. MiCAFE is now active in Mecosta and Osceola counties. Both sites will begin serving clients in June.

 

This brings MiCAFE's service area to 32 counties. Learn more about MiCAFE here.
