Greetings!
What I see around me today are many people who have postural misalignments. It is evident to me that habits developed over time have driven this fundamental change in how people are holding their bodies above the Earth, especially since the worldwide development of our modern computer age.
One common problem people have today is tension in their neck, shoulders, and upper back. This is usually accompanied by a 'head-forward', and often 'shoulders-forward' postural misalignment. This can result in pain, tension, inability to sleep, concentrate, breathe properly, and other problems. I have been successful in helping many people to advance from this state of pain and dysfunction to a better life filled with more energy, time, relaxation, focus, and purpose.

Question: What are the benefits to practicing yoga?
My answer: Yoga will help to tone your nervous system, regulate your blood pressure, heart rate, temperature, blood sugar levels, muscle tonus, increased strength, increased flexibility, increased performance in sports, arts, academics, business, high performance in thinking, action, perception, gives you increased energy, better sleep, keeps you safe from many disorders and diseases, helps you to live an abundant, fulfilled, long life of purpose, to identify and meet your goals.
------- Question: I am not very flexible. I don't think I can do the yoga poses.
My answer: That is not a problem. You will make steady progress every day. The goal is to improve. It is not a competition. I teach Royal Yoga, also called Raja Yoga, the full eight-limbed path of yoga. Asana or Pose is only one limb of the eight limbs. All eight limbs are equally important. Yoga is much more than doing yoga poses.
------- Question: Can I get a discount for purchasing a package of private yoga sessions?
My answer: Yes, you can! See this link for volume pricing.
The package pricing is available in 4, 8, 16, 32, and 48 sessions, with ascending discounts per level of commitment. Purchasing as few as four sessions in advance will result in about a 22% discount, and purchasing as many as 48 sessions in advance will result in about a 28% discount.

My answer:

------- Question: What is the ideal length of time for a private yoga lesson?
My answer: Whatever length of time you can devote to yoga is fine. I prefer to have 1.5 hours to 2 hours, but we can work with one hour, even 1/2 hour sessions.
If your time and budget allows it, we can schedule up to 3 hours per session. I love yoga so much I can do it all day.
It is energizing, powerful, healing, and enlightening.
If your budget and schedule only allows 1/2 hour sessions, then let's do that. Yoga will meet you wherever you are at. This is true in terms of how much time you can devote to the practice, your attitude towards yoga, yourself, others, and the world around you, your physical condition, age, all factors in your life.
Meeting at least once per week is necessary to make progress, but if you have to leave town for a few weeks, we can catch up when you return.
Meeting three days per week is better, and five days per week is better still.
------- Question: What about age?
My answer: I have had people from age 3 (accompanied by parent) to seniors well into their 90s in yoga class.
With children under the age of 18, a parent or legal guardian must be present with them at all times in my studio.
