Fullerton Real Estate & Happenings                November 2008
Greetings!

The Election is over and the holidays are fast approaching.  There is lots going on this time of year and home sales have increased again in the local area compared to last year!

In Fullerton, Anaheim, Brea, Placentia and Yorba Linda combined, there was a total of 385 closed sales in October of this year.

October of 2007 only had a total of 150 closed.  That is less than half!

There seem to be lots of first time buyers out and investors too.  Inventory seems low and I have had buyers competing for homes with multiple offers.  We worked hard to find great homes and I opened three escrows in October, one as a listing agent. There are still loans available and with the decreased home prices, the dream of home ownership is now within reach for so many that thought it might not be possible!  If you are thinking of buying or selling, I am happy to answer any questions you may have.

Thanksgiving is fast approaching.  The economy may be tough but there is still so much to be thankful for; great friends, family and clients! I am so thankful for you all! With the season of giving is growing near I am seeing now more than ever, organizations need help.  I have enclosed organizations in our community that need help should you be able to spare a little.
 Thanksgiving
If you have questions about the market or about things going on in the Fullerton area, please let me know.  I am happy to help!

Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours!
Cheers!

The Season For Giving
I can't remember a time when I was hearing about so many organizations in need of help.  Here is a short list of ways to donate.

Crittenton Services for Children & Families is located right here in Fullerton.  They are in DIRE need of baby items, especially clothes.

They also have something called an Angel Tree.  You can choose a child to purchase a gift for that might not otherwise receive one.  They really want to make sure every child needs a gift! For more information on Crittenton or their needs, please contact me.

WTLC - The Women's Transitional Living Center is also having trouble keeping their doors open.  They can use everything from food donations to gift cards and monetary donations.

You can also find them around Fullerton hosting WTLC Wednesday events.  These are fun casual happy hours where you can bring a donation and meet some great people. Check my blog for these events.

Canned Food Drive - Re/Max North Orange County will be set up at the Ralph's Grocery Store on Harbor in Fullerton for a Canned Food drive on Saturday, November 22, from 9:00 to 4:00.  Stop by to say, "hi" and bring your non perishible goods to donate to local food banks.
