Mandy
The idea that perfume could be an art
form wasn’t foreign to me. But I really
didn’t have any idea that the world
of perfume had so much of a variety until
I met Mandy Aftel.
Mandy is
a woman with the utmost of integrity. As
a single mother in Berkeley making ends
meet on her own, she evolved into the most
exclusive natural perfumer in the world,
sought after by celebrities and royalty
to make personalized perfume.
Mandy never
comprises; she did not want to sell out
and end up in Sephora. She doesn’t
even want to be Channel, as even that would
involve some element of comprise. She stays
independent and exclusive for those that
truly appreciate Natural Perfume.
She writes
books, teaches course, and was recently
acknowledged by the Museum of Natural History
in New York.

A Student's Perspective
Online classes are a great way to
begin or continue your dance studies.
With the growing number of students
in Suhaila's program spanning across
the globe, these classes allow her
format and technique to be more widely
available. You can take her classes
when and wherever you want! Now, instead
of only traveling to attend workshops,
both Suhaila and Jamila Salimpour
can follow you into your own studio,
living room or even office for a quick
glute workout or 'Arabic two' during
lunch! Truly the best dancers continue
training their entire lives, and that
doesn't mean twice a year - that means
at least 3-5 times a week. If your
distance was getting in the way, now
you have no excuses! Suhaila is hoping
that these classes will help motivate
dancers and promote the art form worldwide.

Multi-level workshops
are designed for all dancers (beginners
to advanced). This workshop is excellent
for dancers new to Suhaila who want
to get a "big picture" view
of her format and certification program.
Advanced dancers in Suhaila's format
also enjoy taking these workshops
for an opportunity to fine-tune their
technique, drill and learn new choreography.
The week begins with an overview of
Level 1 material and then progresses
daily through each level.

way to learn the basics. New to
Suhaila's format but have been dancing
for twelve years? Great! This is
the place to start so you can learn
Suhaila's unique format and terminology.
Regardless of previous
experience, all students begin with
Level 1. Level 1 outlines all the
necessary elements of Suhaila's
format including posture, muscle
isolation, music theory, nomenclature
and more!
