A message from Reverend Sandra
 | | Reverend Sandra McLauchlan-Abuja |
I was at a highest of highs on the 21st of November, when I experienced the youth of our congregation lead us in worship. Children and youth ages 3 - 17 interpreted the Gospel of Jesus in a contemporary way that filled the church close to capacity and sent us home thinking about how " WE can make a wave of God's love in our world". The Saturday before the youth worship, nativity sets were displayed in the sanctuary and the auditorium was "a buzz" with the Bethlehem Bazaar, not to mention the lunch room and the bake table sponsored by the United Church Women. While the bazaar was in full swing, a team was busy collaborating with our United Church neighbours to the north to create a float for the Santa Claus Parade.
These acts of faith, fundraising and fun reassured me that the folks of Westminster are committed to providing opportunities to share the love of Christ. I want to take this opportunity to thank everyone for sharing their gifts.
By now you will have received your Christmas Letter with an envelope enclosed for a Christmas gift to Westminster. This gift will continue to ensure that we can offer a place for worship, share in rituals of our faith and provide help to those in need. As our stewardship letter communicated to you we need to make our budget this year because it is responsible to do that and so that those looking to invest in our accessibility projects will see that we are committed and viable. Please remember your church this Christmas.
Please visit our website for all the upcoming events.
I look forward to worshiping together this festive season.
Rev. Sandra
