So Lot chose for himself all the plain of the Jordan, and Lot journeyed eastwards; thus they separated from each other... The Lord said to Abram, after Lot had separated from him, 'Raise your eyes now, and look from the place where you are, northwards and southwards and eastwards and westwards; for all the land that you see I will give to you and to your offspring forever.'

Greetings!
"The fullest spiritual life is the one lived with the most thoroughly thankful mind and soul" Tom Harper "Would You Believe?"
In this time of high gas prices, concern about the economy, orphaned children in Burma and violence in society, it can be overwhelming sometimes to settle ourselves down and find the calm in the middle of the storm. Last Sunday worship revolved around the theme of holding on to a faith that holds on to you. This faith of which I speak is a faith of trust rather than a faith of worry. Only 8% of what we deal with in a day is worth worrying about. Life is not without worry but it is imperative to reflect each day on the blessings in our lives, no matter how small. In my experience, worry can be difficult if you do not have a friend to share your concerns with. "The best way to have a friend is to be one!" This is one function of the spiritual community of faith. In worship and our small group ministries we come together to share our joys and bear one another's burdens. "Faith is not simply a concept, it is an action"
Over the last year it has been exciting for me to watch friendships develop within our congregation. More and more we see newcomers joining us for worship. The Spirit of God is breathing into our lives a gift of renewal and thankfulness.
A friend sent this poem to me... Sometimes in life, you find a special friend; Someone who changes your life just by being part of it. Someone who makes you laugh until you can't stop; Someone who makes you believe that there really is good in the world. Someone who convinces you that there really is an unlocked door just waiting for you to open it. This is Forever Friendship.
God's richest blessings on your week... Rev. Sandra
