Earlier today, a special congregational meeting was held. The Joint Search Committee presented its report and recommendations to the congregation. The Committee made a motion to "call" the Rev. Sandra McLauchlan-Abuja as full-time minister to Westminster United Church, effective July 1, 2008. The vote was carried unanimously. Later this week, the conditions of the "call" will be taken to Presbytery for their approval.
Your Joint Search Committee (Brian Bleasdale, Joyce Winegar, Janet Jones, Bob Borden, Grant Bryan, Patricia Estrada with Rev. Shelley Roberts and Rev. Terry Thom) would like to thank everyone for their support in this journey. The Church Board would like to thank the JSC for their hard work on behalf of the congregation.
