Greetings!

If today was your last day, and tomorrow was too late...would you live each moment like your last?

Stomach churning, internal voices screaming, "You'll look silly doing this," I hit the send button to start the "If Today Was Your Last Day" challenge. And my heart smiled.

In honor of all of the breast cancer survivors, and those we've lost, I challenge you to commit to doing one thing that fuels your heart, joy and integrity each day in October and share it on my blog.

When I came seconds away from being crushed by a semi on the evening of December 9, 2009 singing along to "If today was your last day, and tomorrow was too late..." I knew I'd found my new mantra.

Running on empty; exhausted every night; tired every morning; not taking any time for fun and balance had crept back into my routine. I wasn't walking my talk.

I went back to setting aside thirty minutes each morningto set my priorities. Instead of pouring over my endless to-do list I asked my heart what was most important. The answers were surprising. Things like 'kiss your husband', 'call your grandmother', and 'sing out loud' were more important that making that important business call or rushing through my email??

So I did a mantra check. When I die, what will have mattered more? Then I kissed my husband and sang along to my favorite songs. My heart soared and my fatigue went away. Suddenly I knew my business call would go well. And if I didn't get what I wanted I learned from it. My smile got bigger and broader.

What can you do today to make your heart smile? Sometimes it's heard to hear among the clutter of our lives.  For help, use my "Your Heart's Way" exercise. Download it now and start smiling!

A Dangerous and Often Misdiagnosed Breast Cancer... Every woman needs to know about Inflammatory Breast Cancer.

Inflammatory Breast Cancer (IBC) is the most aggressive and deadly form of breast cancer. It does not show up on routine mammograms. Because of its aggressive nature and the difficulty of diagnosis, it can be easily misdiagnosed or treated incorrectly compared to more common breast cancers. The symptoms below may appear overnight without warning. Doctors often misdiagnose Inflammatory Breast Cancer as a breast infection or mastitis. If you have symptoms, and they do not go away with creams, ointments or antibiotics, in a normal period of time, demand that your doctor rule out IBC. It could save your life. Read more >>>

Saying "NO!" to Inner Critic Keeps Love Alive for this Breast Cancer Survivor:"I did it," was my cloud nine refrain all day yesterday. This morning things were different. My doubts were back. I took a deep breath, told my inner critic "NO!", and asked my heart what I was meant to do. "Get outside," it replied. Read More>>>

Tips for Taming the Fear That Stops You: Right now I'm listening to an awesome new Melissa Etheridge song, Heart of a Woman. The line that resonates with me says, "Our power ends... precisely where our fear begins." Authentic vs. Fake Success: What's Your Definition? Before cancer I was outwardly successful but dying inside. Becoming a breast cancer survivor allowed me to create my own definition of authentic success.
