Dear ISD Families,
Please join the staff and me on Thursday evening, September 13th for our annual Open House. Teachers are preparing to bring you an informative evening that will help you support your child's education. Below is the schedule for classroom visits, as well as a time period to visit the specialists. Each classroom session will include a presentation that will include information related to the following areas:
- The GPS curriculum objectives and assessments
- IB Primary Years Program, Transdisciplinary Units and Learner Profiles
SCHEDULE:
- 6:30 - 7:00 Principal Presentation - Café
- 7:00 - 7:45 Classroom Visits for Grades K, 2 and 4, ALP Gr. 3 and Gr. 5
- 7:15 - 8:15 Visits with Art, Music, Physical Education, ESL, Media,Psychologist Reading, Spanish*, Resource Room, and Speech in their classrooms or offices
- 8:00 - 8:45 Classroom Visits for Grades 1, 3 and 5 and ALP Gr. 2 and Gr. 4
We planned a staggered schedule for this evening to: help families with children in multiple grades, reduce the large number of people needing parking** at one time and provide you time to meet with support and special area teachers who are vital to the school's overall program.
I look forward to seeing you on the 13th.
*Spanish teachers will be located in the media center for this evening presentation
**Please walk or carpool. Also, please ask your friends who live near the school if you can park in their driveway.
Sincerely, Terry Ricci |

Welcome to The Green Dragon!
There is nothing quite like the scent of fresh squeezed lemons to remind us of a refreshing drink on a hot Summer day. But lemon juice can be a powerful cleaning agent, as well. It can dissolve stains, shine copper, clean windows and mirrors, polish hardwood furniture, and freshen cutting boards, garbage disposals, and drains. Lemon juice has natural bleaching properties, too. So skip the harsh chemicals and try creating your own household cleaning solution combining other natural ingredients like baking soda or vinegar.
