As you know, we began our affiliation with GlobalGiving in 2009 to raise funds for our B'nai Mitzvah Mission to Israel. That initiative was very successful and Cedar Village now has seven projects on GlobalGiving:

•  Enriching Lives of Elders (to benefit the Harkavy Fund by providing special concerts, programs, and classes for all of our residents)
• Making Dreams Come True (to grant special wishes for our residents through our Chai Hopes Fund)
•  Opening Minds Through Art (to provide materials for our very successful Opening Minds Through Art program for residents with dementia)
•  Keep Victims of Elder Abuse Safe (to provide personal care items, clothing and other items for our seniors recuperating in the Shalom Center for Elder Abuse Prevention)
• Serve the Community by Expanding Health Services (to provide items such as therapy balls or a garden kit for The Rehabilitation Center at Cedar Village)   
• Ensuring the highest quality end of life care (to provide simple pleasures such as fresh flowers or  music for Cedar Village Hospice patients)    
•  Interfaith Mission to Israel (to help a resident with expenses such as a passport, sponsor bus transportation, sponsor mission t-shirt and bag) 

Beginning at 12:01 a.m. EDT on May 1st through 11:59 pm on Sunday, May 13th  GlobalGiving is giving away $500 to the top 10 projects with the most donors who make donations as gifts.
