Cedar Village E-News
March 16, 2012

Greetings!

Happy 15th birthday to Cedar Village! So many people have come through through our doors since we opened and so many lives have been touched. Residents, families, staff, board members, volunteers and community members are all a part of who we are, what we have been and what we will be. Thanks to everyone who made Cedar Village possible and those who have shaped it into the facility we are so proud of today.

We had birthday cupcakes to celebrate 15 years! Our wonderful Dining team made over 500 cupcakes and a big birthday cake as well. They were all enjoyed by residents, visitors and staff!

Resident of the Month was the other big highlight this week. We honored three very special residents and were, as always, inspired and moved by their stories.

 All the best,

We are thrilled to announce that we have received the 2011 All Star Award from Constant Contact®, Inc., the trusted marketing advisor to more than half a million small organizations worldwide. Each year, a select group of Constant Contact customers are honored with the All Star Award for their exemplary marketing results. Cedar Village's results ranked among the top 10% of Constant Contact's customer base.

"There is nothing we like more than to see our customers finding success. It's the reason Constant Contact was founded, and it's a thrill to see the fantastic results that our All Stars are achieving," said Gail Goodman, CEO of Constant Contact. "Cedar Village Retirement Community is really leading the charge when it comes to delivering relevant, engaging content that drives real business results. We salute Cedar Village Retirement Community for their success, and are honored to have played a part in their achievements."

Thank you for your support over the past four years!

Brain Games

Brain Games help to flex our "mental muscles" and keep our minds sharp. Here are three featured games powered by Happy Neuron that work your concentration, logic, perception and language skills.

Did you know that Occupational Therapists and Speech Therapists are trained to assess and sharpen cognitive skills? This is especially important for a loved one who has been in the hospital with an illness, or who has recently had anesthesia. For more information, please contact Debi Tyler, Director of Rehabilitation at dtyler@cedarvillage.org.
