Greetings!
Although my family may disagree, Thanksgiving is not just about food and football! It is a time for many to bring families together and to take the time to think about what we are thankful for in our lives. We posed the question of "What are you thankful for?" to residents, staff, visitors and volunteers at Cedar Village. We hope that you will enjoy reading their responses as you think about whatever might be on you list! "I am thankful for every day, every day is a blessing." (staff) "My job, my health, my family, sunshine and football." (visitor) "Family, health, Cedar Village" (resident) "Having a healthy family" (volunteer) "My family and my faith" (staff) "Every day I have with my mom" (visitor) "My friends that are my family and my family that are my friends" (staff) "Grateful I can get around on my own, grateful to be at Cedar Village--this is my family." (resident) "For my parents who never gave up on me, my son who gave me a beautiful granddaughter, my husband who works hard and is good to me" (staff) "Thankful to be a part of the Cedar Village family" (staff) "For my return from the hospital and my recovery from illness" (resident) At Cedar Village, we are all grateful for the opportunity to do this vital and fulfilling work, to be a part of our Cedar Village family of residents, staff and community. We are privileged to live our mission every day, making aging an "enriching and fulfilling experience." We wish you and your family a wonderful holiday.
All the best, Carol Silver Elliott CEO/President Cedar Village
