Are you ready for the 2011 Cedar Village Golf Classic?

Greetings!

It is Golf Classic time at Cedar Village.  How can you tell?  Because we have many hands busily putting the pieces together to ensure a great day on Monday!  From the folks who have gathered and are packaging silent auction items to those organizing the signs for the hole sponsors and from the Dining Services staff getting the food items ready to prepare and transport to those who are assembling the golfer and volunteer materials and many more!  We do have a fabulous tournament and are excited this year that our number of golfers is up and our sponsorships have also increased.  We'd love to see you at Wetherington on Monday!

Our renovation project continues to move forward.  We are so excited to be using the new Therapy Center, bringing the latest in both inpatient and outpatient treatments to our entire community.  We offer a full range of physical, occupational and speech therapy and we have some unique services available.  For example, Cedar Village is home to a Biodex balance testing and training system.  Balance is key to preventing falls and maintaining a high level of activity for quality of life.  We also offer laser therapy, using a cool light laser for pain control and healing.  And, we have the only driving assessment program on the east side of Cincinnati.  Using specialized equipment, our Occupational Therapy staff can test an individual's ability to drive from physical, functional, cognitive and visual perspectives.  In car assessment follows and the end result is an understanding of whether an individual should continue to drive and/or what they will need to do to continue to drive safely.  If you need any sort of rehab, Cedar Village can help.  Just call us at 754-3100 to schedule your free, individual assessment.

Cedar Village Hospice also continues to grow.  We are working hard to not only build this program but to help educate our community.  Sometimes people think that hospice is only for the last days, or even hours, of life.  That is just not the case.  Hospice is for anyone with a diagnosis of six months or less to live, for helping with pain control and quality of life, for providing support for the individual as well as their loved ones.  And that support continues even a year after the individual's death.  Hospice is focused on comfort and quality of life for the patient and their family and Cedar Village Hospice is available to anyone in our community, regardless of where they live.  Need more information?   Call us at 754-3100.

All the best,
