Greetings!
We had an absolutely perfect night for our very first outdoor concert at Cedar Village. The weather was spectacular, the Buffalo Ridge Jazz Band is always great fun and a good time was had by all! It was wonderful to see residents, family members, staff and community join together and just have fun! We are thinking about a series of outdoor concerts for next year so stay tuned! We know you will want to mark your calendar and not miss any of them! Our projects continue to move along well and we are very excited about all of the renovations. The new Rehabilitation Center is open and we've got both inpatients and outpatients using that space. Did you know that you could receive therapy right here at Cedar Village if you need it? Maybe that shoulder injury or achy hip needs a little help-call us. Our staff will assess you, work with you and your doctor and make sure that you get the care that you need. We also have the only Driving Assessment program on the east side of Cincinnati. Our specially trained staff, using sophisticated equipment, can help determine if someone is safe to drive or if there are adaptations they can make that will allow them to continue to drive safely. We have even more than that in the Rehab Center including Biodex balance testing and training, a cool light laser for pain relief and healing and much more. Check it out-you will be glad that you did! Cedar Village Hospice also continues to grow. Our dedicated team of professionals, including medical director, nurses, aides, medical social worker, chaplain and volunteers, is ready to help you or your loved one, in their home anywhere in the greater Cincinnati community. Hospice is not just about the final days of life. It is for those with a diagnosis of less than six months to live and it is about offering additional care and services to an individual and their family. During a terminal illness, there are many needs and there is much stress on the individual and family. With hospice, we can offer more care and enhanced services, relieving family members of some of the pressure of care giving so that they can spend more quality time with their loved ones. It is about pain control, symptom management and physical, emotional and spiritual support. Call us for more information and an assessment.
