It is always a great week when we have Resident of the Month.  Every time we do the Resident of the Month program, we are engaged, educated and inspired by the stories and words of wisdom that are shared with us.  Each story is unique and moving, each resident has a rich and fascinating history to share.  If you are ever in need of an uplifting experience, come to Cedar Village on the first Wednesday evening of the month at 6 p.m.  It is a half hour that you will long remember.

We started the week on a wonderful note as well, with the Berg Fund sponsoring a group of residents to see The Magic Flute at the Cincinnati Opera.  It was a magnificent performance, the voices were incredible and the sets were elaborate and impressive.  We are so blessed to have special funds, including the Berg and Harkavy Funds, that make it possible for us to provide wonderful life enhancements and enrichment for our residents.

Speaking of the Harkavy and Berg Funds, they are sponsoring an event you just won't want to miss!  On Thursday, August 11, please join us for the Buffalo Ridge Jazz Band performing at our very first outdoor concert!  We'll have a stage and a dance floor by the gazebo and it will be a great time for all.  Bring your family and friends, a blanket or a lawn chair and we'll provide music and some light refreshments.  In case of inclement weather, the whole party will move into the Wilbur and Mary Jean Cohen Religious and Cultural Center.  Hope you will join us!

Golf is right around the corner-August 22nd at Wetherington Golf Club.  It is always a great event, hope you will be with us for that one as well.
