Dear ,
The leaves
are changing, the weather is crisp and we've been enjoying the outdoors
at Cedar Village. Folks are walking outside, sitting in the Sensory
Garden and enjoying both the fall decorations on the grounds and the break from
the hot summer we had! On Tuesday, Resident Life celebrated the change of
seasons with our residents in Bubbe's Kitchen. They made pumpkin
parfaits and enjoyed that very autumn kind of treat.
We have
another treat that began this week as well. We've introduced new
menus in the Garden Dining Room and we hope they'll be a big hit.
We're changing to a more restaurant style menu, both in food items and in
the presentation of the actual menu itself. Residents are now being
handed a restaurant style menu folder that contains both choices of "always
available" appetizers, salads and entrees as well as specials for the
day. We hope that this will be another big step in upgrading the dining
experience and we hope to take it beyond independent and assisted living-so
this is the beginning!
Don't
forget Monte Carlo this Sunday afternoon beginning at 1:30 p.m. The
Wilbur and Mary Jean Cohen Religious and Cultural Center will be transformed
into a casino par excellence! It is a fun afternoon for residents,
visitors and volunteers alike so we hope that you'll be with us. All the best,

Carol Silver Elliott
