Dear ,
We've
celebrated this week under both sukkahs that have been erected on the Cedar
Village grounds. We have one that has we've had for several years located
in front of the Deli and a second, new one that is adjacent to the Garden
Dining Room. If you have an opportunity over the next week, we'd
love to have you come out, pick up some lunch in the Deli and sit and eat in
the sukkah. Or just spend a little time chatting with family or friends in that
special setting. It's a perfect place to recognize the holiday and
the season and we hope that you will! Our sukkahs are especially beautiful
this year because we had lots of help with the decorations. Some of the
decorations were made by our residents and others were made for us by students
at Rockwern Academy. We so appreciate all the time and effort that went
into creating lovely items for us to hang!
On Sunday,
we will have a dedication in the Friends of Cedar Village Chair Court brick
garden at Cedar Village. It's not our "usual"
dedication, of new bricks being placed, rather it is a dedication of bricks to
honor the founders of the Friends of Cedar Village. We'll gather at
2:00 p.m. for this very meaningful event so we hope that you can join us!
I had a "sneak
peek" at the new Friends of Cedar Village cookbook this week. It's
"hot off the press" and copies will be on sale soon in the Gift
Shop. Make sure you pick up several-they make great gifts! All the best,

Carol Silver Elliott
