We look forward to the
Cedar Village Golf Classic every year. We have a busy committee, generous sponsors, a huge number of volunteers and the preparation takes months. And then, suddenly, the day is upon us and the event is over!
The 11th annual Cedar Village Golf Classic was a huge success. It was our first year at Wetherington Golf Club and all of the participants had rave reviews for it. The course is lovely and the clubhouse is beautiful and spacious. The roomy clubhouse was especially appreciated this year because it was hot, hot, hot outside. Despite the heat and humidity, however, we had a full day of golf and fun and we're already thinking about next year!
We continue to work on our Dementia Care Specialist training and we're really getting close to graduating our first class from the first of four levels. We've trained, met, videotaped, reviewed and it has a great learning process for all, including staff not in the first class. We'll start our next round of training in the fall.
The high holidays are fast approaching as well. This year they are very early although I contend that people always say the Jewish holidays are early or late. I've never heard anyone say they're right on time! As always, Cedar Village will have a full complement of services both in the Temple and Synagogue. Look for that schedule in upcoming e-newsletters and please feel free to join us.
