Dear ,
What fun we had celebrating Purim together at Cedar Village! On Sunday afternoon, we had a wonderful megillah reading and a full house in the Wilbur and Mary Jean Cohen Religious and Cultural Center. We followed that with a lively concert featuring Steve and Irina, who added some great Purim music to the day. On Monday afternoon, we held a Purim carnival and lots of fun was had by all with activities from making hamantaschen to creating masks to playing cornhole. Now, of course, we are moving full speed ahead with our Passover preparations. Here is one new event for this year-on Wednesday, March 17 at 2 p.m. we'll hold a program called "Tea and Charoset." We're planning a charming tea party for our residents with a special addition-the chance to taste some of the many different types of charoset. Did you know that charoset can be made with dates, pomegranates and even bananas? We'll have a few choices to sample and we'll even "vote" for our favorites. Feel free to join us if you can. Then, on March 18, at 3 p.m. we will party again in the Cohen Center. This time we'll be celebrating Cedar Village's 13th birthday. Of course, we will have birthday treats and we're also planning a special candle lighting ceremony to commemorate this big day! Hope you can join us for that-it should be a wonderful celebration.
