It's officially Spring and the Wistaria is in full bloom.
FUN WISTARIA FACTS:
The Guinness Book certified Sierra Madre's 118 year-old Wistaria Vine as the World's Largest Blossoming Plant.
Wistaria can also be spelled wisteria.
Recognize the name? The 'Desperate Housewives' live on Wisteria Lane.
Wistaria is a member of the pea family.
See these purple blooming beauties at the Sierra Madre Wistaria Festival.
You can read more and see a video on our Plus Sized Plant Takes Over Town.
BIG IS BETTER Another 'big' event is LA's Largest Underground Art Show: Pancakes & Booze.
BIG CHANGES Angel's Flight raises fares to 50 cents (still a bargain really - major fun factor involved), but Metro pass holders get a 50% discount - exit the Metro Red Line at the Pershing Square Station and head towards the 4th street exit - Angel's Flight is across from the Grand Central Market.

THE SPIDEY PROJECT: WITH ZERO MONEY COMES A FUNNY PRODUCTION By M.R. Hunter

Regardless of race or upbringing, he expects everyone to meet the same high standards: His. Yet he is astoundingly blind to the issues of color that affect those whose skin color actually differs from his...
