Gay Pride dominates the West Hollywood area this weekend. The Dyke March, the festival, the parade and other events will cause street closures and plenty of traffic in and around this popular event.
Come out where-ever you are: Friday is world wide
Knit in Public Day. There will be plenty of perling going on at Crowell Library and all "knit-wits" are encouraged to come.
OUT IN NATURE
- Saturday Capture a Moment in Nature at King Gillette Ranch - get tips and tricks from the park's resident photographer.
- Saturday Kids Rock at the annual free concert and nature festival that benefits the Children's Nature Institute.
- Also on Saturday take Transit to Trails - a free trip to the Malibu Lagoon.
- Save water - head to the Drought Tolerant Plant Festival and learn all about landscaping with less water. Saturday & Sunday
- The Los Angeles State Historic Park hosts the Food Truck Chow Down - with arts, crafts and other entertainment at the park.
Eye Spy LA will be out on the street at Peach Fest 3 this Sunday. The event this year features a full music lineup from 10am to 4pm, a Trike-A-Thon, a young artists exhibit and sale. Food will be available from Pitfire Pizza and Schmerty's Cookies. This year's silent auction will benefit potters in Japan who've lost their livelyhood due to the devastating earthquake and tsunami.

All these aforementioned places are already well-known in LA, so it was nice when my friend, Mary, introduced me to a burger place that's a little more under the radar; yet, served some pretty darn good burgers. I'm talking about The Fix Burger...
