Not everything happens on the weekend.

A CHILL IS IN THE AIR

Clouds

Maybe a scavenger dash or cityrace might warm you up if you want to brave the weather.

Otherwise, duck indoors for some laughs, spend a day at a museum, or see a classic film. Hatfull Of Rain perhaps?

WARM YOUR FUNNY BONE: with some Attention Deficit Disorder Improv tonight. Or attend Joni and Gina's Wedding (read M.R. Hunter's review scroll below), interactive theater where you are a guest - food, drinks, hilarity, and partying ensue on Saturday at Oil Can Harry's in Studio City. More fun on the Comedy calendar.

WARM YOUR WHOLE BODY: on a Scavenger Dash in Hollywood or a CityRace at El Pueblo both on Saturday. Details about these events and more on the Recreation calendar.

WARM YOUR WALLET: with savings on places to go this weekend and beyond on the Eye Spy LA Discounts page.

PLAN AHEAD: Go Eat LA next Thursday. You gotta eat and restaurants around town will be donating a portion of their proceeds on February 24th to benefit Aid For AIDS and the Serra Project.

"CRACK WHORE GALORE" IS A F---ING RIOT! By M.R. Hunter

CRACK WHORE GALORE

Imagine Sid and Nancy if they ever tried to fly straight. Meet Danny and Abbey Galore-a high-voltage cocktail of punk rock and sex minus the drugs. This world premiere production created by Tonya Cornelisse, Ryan Oliver, Danny Roew, Graham Sibley and Gates McFadden is rude, crude and a totally funny late-night offering. Social misfits, Danny and Abbey (Sibley and Cornelisse) don't give a f--k about anything that isn't pure punk, taking time out to do a little f-ing between sets backstage and hawking their amateur porn to benefit their drug rehab center. Who says punks don't have heart?

WHO KNEW EATING HEALTHY COULD TASTE SO GOOD? By Abby Abanes

Healthy Food

In this era of cheap and convenient fast food, it's easy to forgo a sit down, home made meal that's actually good for you and may not be as likely to clog your arteries. Even if you choose to go to a restaurant with tables, chairs and nice linens, the menu may still not offer enough "healthy" options for the diner trying to make a life style change that includes eating better.

One of the things that California is known for, is its culinary focus on natural, organic, local and sustainable foods and that's reflected in the type of eateries you'll find from one end of California to another. Two such eateries that I visited within days of each other were Hugo's in Studio City and A Votre Sante in Brentwood...

POWERFUL & PROVOCATIVE: "MLLE. GOD" BARES ALL @ ATWATER VILLAGE THEATRE By M.R. Hunter

MLLE. GOD

Sex is Lulu's religion. She worships at the phallic altar with unapologetic zeal, proselytizing her sensuality with a holier-than-thou (pun intended) attitude that drives her disciples mad or worse. Loosely taken from G.W. Pabst's silent film, Pandora's Box starring Louise Brooks-itself adapted from Frank Wedekind's (also read Ali Tobia's review of Wedekind's "Spring Awakening") string of "Lulu" plays, Nicholas Kazan's revisioned femme fatale almost suffers from her belief in the pleasure principle...
