Spooky Palm 200October is not for the faint of heart, even palm trees are scary this time of the year. Yes, even though Halloween is still a couple of weeks away, the spooktacular fun is in full swing. There is no need to agonize and choose just one fright, you can do it all.

If you're looking for ghoulish adventures or for supernatural thrills and chills this is the right season and the Eye Spy LA
Halloween page is the right place to find events and activities for everyone - from family fun at a pumpkin patch to eerie haunted houses and even costume parades for your pets.

A few of the horrorible events this week:

Weekend of Horrors - a fright feast for fans of dark entertainment

The Original Haunted Hollywood Scavenger Hunt - LA is the 5th most haunted city in the US so it shouldn't be too hard to find the buried bodies...

Horrorwood - killer art curated by Industrial Squid

Not so ghoulish, yet interesting events this weekend:

The 26th Annual AIDS Walk Los Angeles on Sunday in West Hollywood

HIT Week, Italian musicians take over the Ford Amphitheatre this weekend

Lost Moon Radio episode 7, outer worldly pyschedelic comedy at

Café-Club Fais Do-Do

WEEK DAY L.A.

Not everything interesting happens on the weekend particularly if you are in to books or film. Bookies and film fans will find special events that are either free or low cost and often include discussions with authors, directors and others that created them.  Check out the Eye Spy LA BOOK and FILM calendars.

Haunted HayrideA REAL HOLLYWOOD HAUNT: LA'S HAUNTED HAYRIDE IN GRIFFITH PARK
by M.R. Hunter

Whether or not there are actual ghosts lurking in the old portion of Griffith Park's Zoo grounds is uncertain, but this hayride through the dark woods filled with monsters is almost as scary as the real thing. This Halloween event also features a traditional haymaze and a scaled-down carnival with a couple of foodie trucks and a few rides. Kids will enjoy the carnival atmosphere, but adults will want to skip over these lesser attractions and just enjoy the thrilling hayride itself...

By Charles Phoenix

ENCHILADAS AND LASAGNA GET MARRIED AT LAST in my new
TEST KITCHEN video! I LOVE to make up new recipes! My latest creation is called INCHEZONYA, which is short for the two classic and delish main dishes it combines: enchiladas and lasagna! The result is a crowd-pleasing taste treat sensation that will have friends and relations begging for more! ... It's yummy, yummy in your tummy!
Dark HarborSEA EVIL AT THE QUEEN MARY'S DARK HARBOR by M.R. Hunter

Prepare for new thrills and chills at the revamping of Queen Mary's haunted attraction: Dark Harbor. Unleashed to the public on Oct 1, guests on opening night discovered a spine-tingling experience while aboard ship or wandering through the nearby spooky mazes filled with smoke and monsters that go bump in the night (or bump into you)...
