MOVIES IN THE MOUNTAINS @PARAMOUNT RANCH
Paramount Ranch is one of the many parks in the Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area. The ranch was purchased in 1927 by Paramount Pictures to use as a movie ranch and over the years the landscape has portrayed many locations including colonial Massachusetts, ancient China, and a South Seas island.
A couple of times each summer Hollywood Heritage presents Silents Under the Stars - a chance to watch silent films outdoors at the ranch. August 15th they'll show "Beggars of Life" (1928). It's a unique opportunity to visit the park in the dark....Read the full STORY |
