BAD MOVIE KARMA OR WHATEVER
Dinner for Schmucks
by Nancy Mills

It is definitely payback time. Non-issue. In fact, it might even be karma. As in, don't you mess with me - you, you, you schmuck.

In January of this year, I was in my PJ's minding my own business when I was lit up like a Christmas tree in my loft. No movie director or producer came by to ask me if it was okay. They just did it. Flashed this huge, humongous spotlight on my windows and started shooting late at night.

It turns out they were shooting the movie Dinner for Schmucks, a re-make of a popular French comedy. And as I predicted then - wayyyy before its current summer release - what with a title like that - and a director like that - this movie would probably go straight to DVD...

Cafe Audrey

Have breakfast, lunch or dinner for that matter at the world famous Café Audrey. Styled after the legendary icon, Audrey Hepburn, this cute little café offers a delightful respite right in the heart of Hollywood.

Fans of Audrey Hepburn will enjoy sipping a delicious and generous hazelnut latte underneath her big eyes and wide smile. It's easy to lounge like a movie star with the café's plush art deco styled chairs and wall-lined booths...

WORLD PREMIERE OF "SHAKE" DOES NOT MOVE @THEATRE OF NOTE

Review
by M.R. Hunter
SHAKE Joshua Fardon's time bending new play tries to shake out a story following the aftermath of 9/11, but fails to stir any emotional appeal or connection to this tragic event. Moving backwards in time through reverse chronology, the patchwork scenes provide little ground from which anyone can hope to understand the inexplicably hostile characters or their involvement with each other. As angry and shell-shocked as they are in August 2002, from which the play begins, they are just as distant and shattered to the play's end the day before. Were it not for the date lit up between each transition, the passing of time-no matter its trajectory-is hardly relevant...

WE'RE NO ANGELS
Honest Tea
Last week we wrote about Honest Tea's social experiment (and publicity stunt) to test people's honesty in some of our larger cities.  It turned out that L.A. came in dead last when it comes to honesty.  25% took the Honest Tea, but didn't pay in L.A., as compared with Boston and Washington DC, for instance, where only about 7% didn't pay.

So this week's poll asks: What's with that?
