August 23 , 2010
Greetings!

Happy Monday!

Can you believe August is almost over? Heard some of you are starting school this week and others still have a couple more weeks of summer. Seasonal weather has finally found it's way to Southern California and it's hot! hot! hot!

Hero Arts clipartGot some new product that are red hot! Very excited to share one of my favorite finds at CHA, Viva Decor. The Hero Arts Holiday collection has arrived and it's oh so cute! Lots of new 6x6 paper pads to see. This week's newsletter will have a short list of favorite finds, but will have lots of info about them.

Check out information about a new Stamping Around event at the end of this newsletter. It's all about stamping, Texas style.

Hope you have a great week. Keep cool, too!

Cheers,

Pearl  & Gloss Pens

VIva Decor Logo
One of the most fun and beautifully decorated booths at CHA this summer was from Viva Decor. The samples were amazing so I had to check out what the products they carried. There was clothing that looked "bedazzled" but I came to find out that it was all done with Pearl and Gloss Pens. How cool was that. There were bowls, jewelry, cards, altered pieces and even a bra that was decorated with Viva Decor product.

VIva Decor SampleAccording to their catalog: "Viva Decor products are designed to support and inspire everyone who enjoys being creative. These products are easy to use and eco-friendly, all water based." The range of products all work together. All the Viva Decor products are made in Germany.

I had to pick up the pens for eP nation. The Pearl Pens come in a 23 colors. The Gloss Pens create a glass like embellishment that is shiny and holds it's dimension. Think Christmas light bulbs and ornaments. The pens are a great value for how much you get and what it can do for a variety of projects.

It would be easier for me to show you what got me and my friends all excited about. I did a quick video so you can see what Viva Decor pens are all about. You can view the video on the eclectic Paperie YouTube Channel:eclectic Feed 16: Viva Decor.

Hero Arts - Jingle All the Way
123 Days Until Christmas

Hero arts Holidays

Okay, I said it. Countdown to Christmas has begun. August usually signals that all kinds of holidays are around the corner. We've started to see Halloween and some Thanksgiving items at the local craft store. The holidays means lots of fun gift items to think about making, cards to create, and other special paper craft goodies to share.

Hero arts Holidays 2

Leave it to Hero Arts to offer terrific designs that cover all the fall and winter holidays. With the new Jingle All the Way catalog, there are stamps, accessories, and embellishments that all work together. The Hero Arts website & blog have been overflowing with ideas from the 2010 Holiday Idea Catalog. It's easy to get inspired to create when you have the right tools and a variety of stamp designs to choose from.

New to the eP product mix is all of the Hero Arts holiday offerings from stamps, to papers and embellishments. We now have some Hero Hues to help you save some time in prep materials. The Hero Arts layering papers and coordinating envelopes are a great value and time saver.

I as able to attend a Hero Arts class at CHA. I got to play with a lot of new holiday stamps and create some great projects under the direction of the Hero Artists. Here is one of my favorite projects:

Hero arts Zig Zag tree

The fold on this card is fun. It so easy to make and it will be a great card to share with a special friend at the holidays. I will post most more details on the eP Blog this week in regards to this tree zig zag card.

New 6x6 Mini Decks & Paper Pads
Cosmo Cricket & Imaginisce

As a cardmaker, I love that many of the paper companies now offer 6x6 paper pads. To be able to have the wonderful designs shrunk down to 6x6 size is simply AWESOME! The pretty patterns in this proportional, card-friendly size is also a great value in terms of cost and the room it saves in taking up valuable space on your studio desk/area.

Imaginisce
I was excited to see that Imaginisce came out with two 6x6 pads. They always have whimsical and cheerful designs. Their paper designs have always been popular with eP nation so this new Imaginisce offering is a treat. There is Apple Cider that is perfect for fall; and Cottage Christmas for the winter season.

Cosmo Cricket

Cosmo Cricket always comes up with awesome color combos and themes. At this show, there were 5 new Mini Decks to choose from. They made a mini deck for one of the most famous Cosmo Cricket collections, WANTED....and you'll want one. The rustic somewhat vintage feel of the WANTED collection was wildly popular. To be able to see those great WANTED designs in a 6x6 format is way cool. The other mini decks also coordinate with some of the Unity Stamp collections, too.

We have lots of 6x6 paper pads to choose from. You can always go to this section to get a glance of all the mini pad offerings.

eclectic Paperie has always been an avid supporter and cheerleader of Stamping Around.  Kim and Julie are excited about finding a great location, Garret Creek Ranch which is located in Paradise, Texas. They asked me to come out to teach so I'll be there. I couldn't be more excited to actually get to attend a Stamping Around event. There are some other fabulous gals coming to teach, too. You can check out the Stamping Around site for all the details.

Looks like a great place to gather some stampin' friends and enjoy a weekend getaway in late September. Come stamp with me in Texas!
