"Feed Your Creativity"
New Paper Collection from Melissa Frances
When I saw this new collection from Melissa Frances at Winter CHA, I knew that it was one of those "I Need That!" The description reads as follows: "Kitschy Kitchen...for the domesticated woman who not only cooks, but is CREATIVE too!"
The paper patterns have reds, blues, and kraft colors plus cherries and plaid. It's a little muted and has that retro-feel. Plus, it's fun to say "kitschy kitchen, kitschy kitchen, kitschy kitchen." The best thing, it comes in both 12x12
paper pads. It's just a fun collection with all kinds of possibilities.
There are a variety of Melissa Frances products that coordinate with Kitschy Kitchen. From alterable mini frames for accents to pearl embellishments, you can view here for the Melissa Frances
offerings at eclectic Paperie.
| New Lawn Fawn Releases||
|More Lawn Fawn|
Last week we introduced a new stamp company, Lawn Fawn
, to the eP product mix. Well, they actually just released two more sets the other day and they are available here at eP.
The two new sets
are perfect for the summer days.
We have all the other previous Lawn Fawn stamp sets
releases in the eP product mix. The whimsical designs will "feed your creativity". The outline stamps are calling to your Copic Markers
. The stamp desings are also wonderful for some paper piecing fun.
Also check out the Lawn Fawn blog
and the Lawn Fawn Design Team, too. Get to know Lawn Fawn creator and owner, Kelly Marie, who is featured as our eclectic friend this week.
We are very excited to introduce you to Kelly Marie Alvarez. She is the owner of Lawn Fawn, a fresh new company making its way into the paper craft world. Lawn
Fawn stamps have already been featured in some of your favorite paper
craft magazines. Just the other day, Jennifer McGuire featured some cards using the new Just My Type stamp set.
eP Friend: Kelly Marie Alvarez
I had lots of questions for Kelly Marie so let's get to know a little more about her:
What made you decide to get into the paper craft world?
Since I could hold a crayon all I wanted to do was draw and make things for people. Any scrap of paper would do back then! You should see the piles of cards that I used to make my mom that she still has! As I got older and even into college, I still hand made cards, but I hadn't discovered the paper craft world yet, so I made thumb print animals! One day I decided that I wanted to be able to try to do more. I googled You Tube videos on card making, and I was hooked! I started buying up as much as I could, as we all do! As I was falling in love with this industry, I was in a place where I really wanted to do something that I loved as a career. I finally put two and two together and started off on my dream of owning a craft company!
How did you come up with your company name?
We get this question often. Lawn Fawn? What does that mean? Lawn Fawn is named after a plastic deer that I received as a 21st birthday present. I named him Francois the Lawn Fawn, and he became a good luck charm of sorts. When deciding on a name for the company Lawn Fawn just seemed perfect. It is cute, whimsical and quirky, just like us!
IF there is a song out there that would describe your paper crafting style, what song?
Oh my goodness, this is hard! I think I would have to say "Singin' in the Rain" not only because it's from my favorite musical but because it is just super happy. My cards are fun and cute and bright, and I feel like this song embodies that! It also has my favorite song lyric in it, "Come on with the rain, I've a smile on my face!" It is definitely a philosophy in my life.
Who would love to have dinner with and where?
My grandmother. Hands down. It wouldn't matter where we ate because I would be with her. I just miss her and would love to see her again.
What's your favorite vacation memory?
My favorite vacation memory is definitely my honeymoon in Lanai. My new husband and I sat in lounge chairs overlooking the ocean, and it was perfection. I would go back in a heart beat!
One of my favorite things about Kelly Marie is that she actually lives close to eclectic Paperie. We can meet up occasionally and just enjoy some good food and conversation. Oh
and she is a sweetie, too. You'll want to keep track of Lawn Fawn as it continues to make its mark in the paper craft world. Go visit Kelly Marie at her blog and say "hello" to our new eP friend.

Pre-Order Stampers Anonymous - CHA Summer Release
Tim Holtz & Studio 490 Summer Releases|
Both Tim Holtz
and Wendy Vecchi
previewed their new stamp collections on their blogs this week. The themes and designs are awesome! Both designers teased us with great samples, too. Tim & Wendy really outdid themselves with the thought that went into the stamp set designs. The two collections are produced by Stampers Anonymous.
Tim is releasing his 100th stamp set that is very special in that it can coordinate with a variety of his Alterations products. Tim wrote in his July 3rd blog entry
: "my personal favorite...#100th collection called "odds & ends". it's
my favorite because it has so many uses: first it fits my ticket strip die with sizzix so you can simply die cut your tickets and stamp them
for your favorite holiday ticket, or the new calendar, journaling, or
created by tickets. second, there is a blank ticket stamp that you can
stamp on the tickets and stamp one of the various text quotes which fit
inside that ticket. third, of course these text quotes also fit inside
the ornate plates form idea-ology (both the oval and rectangle ones) so
you can stamp them and place the plate over them. lastly, the text
quotes also fit my file tab on the edge die with sizzix, so you can
stamp them on to the tab for a cool addition to your mini book - how
cool is that???"
eclectic Paperie has created a special Odds & Ends Accessory bundle
to compliment the 100th stamp set, Odds & Ends.
We are now taking pre-orders for both Tim Holtz
and Studio 490(Wendy Vecchi)
stamps sets. They are due to ship out late July/early August. They will ship on arrival. As a special request, there is one "I Want it All" Studio 490
bundle. You are going to want to gather your friends to share and swap.
As always, all order over $40 receive free goodies in your orders. Surprises are always fun!
